Crispy Veggie Fritters for Baby-Led Weaning & Toddlers

This quick & easy toddler meal is perfect for baby-led weaning (BLW) and self-feeding practice. These soft yet crispy veggie fritters are loaded with nutrients and designed to help little ones practice grasping, biting, and using a fork as they grow.

Instructions:


1. Prepare the Veggies:

  • Grate the zucchini and carrot.
  • Place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture to prevent soggy fritters.

2. Make the Batter:

  • In a bowl, mix the grated veggies, chopped spinach, cheese, egg, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and baking powder.
  • Stir until combined.

3. Cook the Fritters:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Scoop small portions of batter (about 1 tablespoon each) and flatten slightly.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

4. Serve:

  • Let the fritters cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve whole or cut into strips for younger babies.
